Food and Flowers*

So then this will be the Famous Sunday Lunch... so this is my first savoury dish shown... I am usually a real sweet tooth so this may be a rarity...
So then this is the delicious Sunday lunch April 2012, served up like restaurant quality, we have fresh carrots, broccoli, sweetcorn, nothing beats good fresh tasty vegetables, served with a chicken breast wrapped in dry aged cured bacon with a delicious cream cheese and thyme filling and a generous serving of cubed paprika  potatoes.  The lovely gravy was made with a special twist it was served with a rich balsamic ju. Very tasty served with a chilled glass of white wine.
Very simple  but really effective and delicious. :)
The close up of the chicken really captures the crystallised crispy bacon and the lovely wrapped chicken lying warm on my plate.

As I have worked in a pub that only serves up Carverys in the past, it is surprising why i still have the love and enjoyment of indulging in a delicious Sunday lunch you would assume I would be well and truely fed up with them... well nearly 3 years on i still have my love for Roast dinners and small exciting twists makes them even more delicious and yummy! :)

As spring time is approaching theres nothing better then having fresh flowers around the house below are a bunch of beautiful daisys and some lovely bright tulips to light up and brighten any room. I really do the love the smell and appearance of the flowers. :)

I will be posting more luxury, simple meals soon and will have some great party foods to share with you over Spring time and into the May season. Hope you like this and will try it out yourselves to also enjoy. :) Please view again soon when more delicious sweet and savoury things have been muched....

CaKe PoPs! x

Hello Everyone, :)

So I have been in the kitchen, having fun experiementing with this new CAKE POP trend, and made six pops the size of golf balls, see the pictures. i have covered them in ediable shimmer glitter pink, purple, blue and hundreds and thousands, which really stands out with the white chocolate coating. :) The cake pops were made with a bought chocolate cake and broken down into crumbs we melted some milk chocolate and combined the mixture until it stuck together, they were delicious, rich and chocolatey. They would work really well a rum, whisky, baileys liquor mixed into them to make them truley adult.

Prior to the Easter break this was really a baking session to be creative and make some tasty treats :)

As for my brothers opinion it really was quite funny 'all I would like is a slice of cake... none of this fancy stuff on a stick...' this is well and truely a girly thing to make, to look cute and pretty. This is something I am hoping to make shortly for a family party and my brothers 18th Birthday Celebration :)

Delicious St Clements Cake

St Clements Cake 2012- this was a recipe from a celebrity chef starring in the Marks & Spencers magazine in March, it was quite simple to make if you have weighed and prepared everything in advance, it ran very smoothly in the kitchen and turned out beautiful. The texture of the sponge was so soft and airy. As part of the recipe after it had baked I stuck a skewer to into the cake and drizzled over a fresh orange and lemon syrup this oozed down into the sponge. As you eat the cake the syrup helped with the amazing flavour of the cake and made the sponge juicy. The lemon flavoured icing drizzled over the top of the cake added to the delicious flavour. I would definitely make this again and even as a yummy treat for my family and friends for Easter 2012.  The time taken to make this on a relaxing Sunday morning was definitely worth it and better then shop bought it went down a treat with my family, I would recommend trying this at home.
